Duties:
A Recruitment Specialist is to facilitate recruiting strategies to attract a high volume of qualified candidates. You will partner with the senior recruiter to identify staffing needs, job specifications, and desired qualifications. You are involved with the company’s hiring process and activities. You are responsible for contacting potential candidates, scheduling interviews, and assisting the Senior Recruiter and HR Department during the recruitment process. You may also need to perform background checks and verify a candidate’s qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Senior Recruiter and Recruitment Assistant in creating job description for openings and translate it to job advertisement
• Post job advertisement in PMVA’s online job portal including but not limited to Indeed, JobStreet, JoraJobs, PampangaJobs, and Social Media Accounts
• Post and distribute job advertisement in print media such as flyers, and tarpaulin to PMVA partner organization (CDC, PESO offices, etc)
• Check every day the job applications that come in all channels.
• Paper screen all applications.
• Schedule and conduct phone screening.
• Schedule and conduct online or in person initial interview.
• Send video review questions and collect recordings.
• Update and maintain applicant tracking system (ATS) and other recruitment-related databases
• Update and maintain applicant Trello cards to make sure every details needed is accurate
• Send a congratulatory/rejection email to applicants.
• Conduct training agreement orientation and collect signed agreement after
• Conduct background checks to verify successful candidates history and records. Flag negative returns to Senior Recruiter.
• Assist successful candidates with onboarding process, including but not limited to preparing documents and coordinating orientation agendas
• Attend career fairs and other events to network with potential candidates
• Track hiring metrics including time-to-hire, time-to-fill and source of hire
• Design, distribute and measure the results of candidate experience surveys
• Maintain and update database of potential candidates for future vacant positions.
• Monitor and update hiring status report
• Submit government reportorial in timely manner
• Engage with cadets in collaboration with REIL trainor.
• Attend daily recruitment huddle and weekly recruitment meeting
• Work closely with the HR department to maintain the candidate database and handle any relevant paperwork
• Assist successful candidates with onboarding process, including but not limited to preparing documents and coordinating orientation agendas
• Use advanced techniques to identify active and passive candidates
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current recruiting trends and technologies
• Develop relationships with colleges and universities to promote the company as an employer of choice
• Attend career fairs and other events to network with potential candidates
• Manage the candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, from initial contact through offer stage
• Design, distribute and measure the results of candidate experience surveys
• Collaborate with the Recruitment team to come up with a strategy to address application quantity, fail rate, interview cancellation, no show rate, and other recruitment related issues.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, industrial relations or related field is an advantage.
• At least 3 years of experience as a recruiting specialist / recruiter with a track record of employee placement or equivalent.
• Proven ability to source and screen candidates using a variety of methods, including social media and job boards.
• Strong negotiation skills when discussing terms and conditions of employment.
• Excellent analytical skills to examine resumes and find the best-suited candidates.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Ability to manage multiple projects.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
